Shelley Davies, born in Victoria, B.C., was raised in the village of Shirley on Vancouver Island’s southwest coast. Surrounded by nature and raised by her mother and grandmother, she developed a deep love for the outdoors.
For over 30 years, she worked in elder care, raised two children, and has been married for 35 years. A self-taught artist, Shelley found her voice in vibrant acrylics, often inspired by wildlife. Her work includes murals and portraits, including commissions for Saanich Peninsula Hospital.
A member of the Coast Salish T’Sou-ke Nation, Shelley now explores her cultural roots through art, including a First Nations mural at her Nation’s Tim Hortons Center.
