Shawna Boulette Grapentine is an Oji-Cree artist known for her vibrant, nature-inspired silhouette paintings. Born in Winnipeg and raised in the Métis community of Manigotagan, she is a member of Hollow Water First Nation (Treaty 5) in Manitoba and now lives in Rainy River, Ontario.
One of seven children, Shawna grew up in a creative, close-knit family that cherished music, laughter, and the outdoors. Her love for art began early, nurtured by her upbringing and the support of Frontier School Division programs that encouraged her artistic growth.
